This page summarizes the instructions for presenting your work at ACM Multimedia 2022. When preparing your presentation, please read these instructions carefully. If you have any questions regarding the presentation format or the program, please contact <mm22-tpc@sigmm.org>. Questions regarding your registration or other local arrangements should be sent to <mm22-local@sigmm.org>.
Additional details will be provided by the conference organizers by email. This page will be updated accordingly.
All events will be streamed via Whova+Zoom. Attendees can use Whova to look at the program and connect to the corresponding Zoom Session meeting.
Authors and chairs must connect to their corresponding session to present their work and/or answer Q&A.
ACM Multimedia 2022 is a hybrid conference. The virtual part of the conference will be supported through the Whova platform. The full program schedule will be available through this platform, including pre-recorded videos and posters, for all papers.
For all papers, authors need to upload a pre-recorded video presenting their work (it can be the same video submitted to ACM DL, unless otherwise indicated by the respective chairs) and a poster.
The deadline for submitting the pre-record videos and posters is October 5, 11:59 PM (AOE).
Authors that registered at the conference will receive an email with a form (Whova Speaker Form) where both the video and posters must be uploaded, for their corresponding papers. You can also update your personal information (e.g. Institution, etc.) on this form.
All **registrants** are already added to Whova. All paper authors must ensure that they are registered to be able to upload their video and poster. For more information about the ACM Multimedia 2022 event in Whova, please refer to https://2022.acmmm.org/whova/.
Pre-recorded videos will be available for all registered participants, and will be presented at the conference, in case none of the authors participates in person (for Oral papers). The requirements are:
Please make sure that your uploaded video meets the requirements above, and that the audio is clear and synchronized. Please refer to the Official Speaker Whova Guide, for more detailed instructions.
Virtual posters will be made available through Whova to all registered participants. There will be a dedicated live poster session using the Gather Town platform (more details below), for remote authors of all tracks requiring a poster.
Please make sure that your poster follows these guidelines:
We suggest you put your Paper ID on your poster (as listed in the conference program). It will make it easier for both participants to reference your poster and for organizers to manage your poster. Additionally to your email, you can also add a QR code to your poster: it will help people find your poster and contact you.
If you wish you can use the following logos:
On-Site Oral Presentations
For authors who will physically attend the conference onsite, you are expected to give a live talk (15 minutes presentation + Q&A) onsite in the corresponding session. Please contact your session chair before your actual session.
All author’s must bring their own presentation laptop.
Remote Oral Presentations
For authors who will not physically attend the conference, we will play the pre-recorded video in the corresponding oral session by the session chair onsite. Authors must attend the session (remotely) for Q&A.
On-site Poster Presentations
There will be dedicated on-site poster sessions. Please refer to the Conference Program to know when your paper is scheduled.
Remote Presentations – Gather Town
For papers being presented remotely, we will host a live poster session using the Gather Town platform. If you are not familiar with the platform, you can learn more about the basics here (it should be intuitive to use).
We will use posters uploaded to Whova to set up the live poster session in Gather Town. Therefore, make sure that your poster is uploaded to Whova by the aforementioned deadline.
Further instructions on how to participate in the live session, such as the session link and credentials, will be provided to participants by email.
