In an attempt to open our community, ACM Multimedia 2022 will be using the OpenReview conference submission system. OpenReview operates as any submission system, with the difference that one can choose the level of openness of the review process.
The General co-Chairs and Program co-Chairs of ACM Multimedia 2022, jointly decided to make publicly available the reviews, rebuttal, and discussion of the papers accepted for oral presentation at ACM Multimedia 2022 if and only if all people involved in the process (authors, reviewers and meta-reviewers) agree to make it public. If you submit/participate in the review process, you will need to specify this in the respective submission, review and meta-review forms. Your choice will have no impact whatsoever in the review process.
The rebuttal phase will become more interactive this year, as we will be able to exploit the “Comments” feature of OpenReview. Only people involved in the review process of a paper (authors, reviewers and meta-reviewers) will be able to comment. During the “rebuttal & comments phase”, authors, reviewers and meta-reviewers can interact and discuss via this forum of comments. We hope this would allow us all to better clarify misunderstandings and stimulate scientific discussion. Afterward, an “internal discussion phase” involving only the technical program committee members will take place.
